Bio

Topu Lyo and Randy Bergida began performing together in 1999 when their friends and siblings started getting married. With each event came many personal requests for music and they discovered their knack for arranging any type of song and founded the cornerstone of New York Ceremony Music with their custom arrangements on cello and guitar. They have been collaborating in their musical endeavors for 20 years and now they have a diverse, ever-growing repertoire ranging from The Beatles to Fleet Foxes, Elliot Smith to The National, Depeche Mode to Django Reinhardt and everything in between.

Topu and Randy met at the University of Arizona School of Music and have studied with some of the country's most prestigious teachers, including Thomas Patterson, Aleksi Vienna, Nancy Greene, and Gordon Epperson. They attended master classes with such greats as Guarneri String Quartet, Tokyo String Quartet, John Stowell and Yo Yo Ma. They have performed together throughout the United States, Mexico, Europe, and Asia.
